What is homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a holistic system of treatment that stimulates the body’s natural tendency to heal itself. Homeopathy works on the principle of similars, - individuals are treated with highly diluted substances that would produce similar symptoms if taken in a crude form to those experienced by the patient. For example, a remedy made from coffee might be used to treat insomnia. However, homeopathy is holistic so the skill of the homeopath is to assess all your symptoms, and the unique way they are experienced in order to select the most appropriate remedy. There are over 3,000 remedies in our materia medica to choose from. Remedies can be made from plants, minerals or animals.
